What is the PTE Test?
The Pearson Test of English is a standardised test that assesses the language proficiency of non-native speakers of English. What is IELTS?

Modules
Listening
The listening test is a multiple-choice test. You'll need to hear the audio, then choose the correct answer. There are 4 or 5 questions per audio file, so you can listen again if you need more time or want to use up all of your allotted time. You don't have to take this test immediately after finishing your comprehension section—you can wait until later in the process if that's what works best for you!
Reading
The reading portion of the exam is divided into two sections: Passage-based questions, which ask you to read a passage and answer questions based on what you've read. These are usually multiple-choice or open-ended questions. Vocabulary-based questions require that you identify words from context and fill in blanks with synonyms or antonyms (words having opposite meanings.
Writing
The writing section of the test is a timed, open-book exam with two parts: An essay about a topic you choose to write about (you can use any information provided by the test administrator) A task that requires you to recall information from memory
Speaking
Speaking is the most important part of the test, and it's done in a group. You'll be given a topic to speak about, which could be anything from your family life to how you feel about soccer. This will give you an opportunity to practise speaking in English. The speaking section also includes questions about grammar and vocabulary use. You'll need to answer these accurately so that they can see how well-educated you are overall.
